NO FARMER NO FOOD

What is the problem?

The Government of India has enacted three laws affecting farmers across India. These bills are: Farmers' Agricultural Trade and Trade (Promotion and Promotion) Act of 2020, Farmers' (Authorization and Protection) Agreement on Price Guarantee and Agricultural Services Act of 2020, and Mandatory Commodity (Amendment) Bill of 2020. Designed for large companies, these invoices give you more power and more profit from your produce. Today, all farmers, large and small, grow their own crops and pay for their production with their personal property and capital. Next, the harvest is brought to an auction market called "Mandis" and the crops are sold. These mandis are aimed at protecting farmers from exploitation by businesses and ensuring reasonable prices for their crops. However, these bills indirectly create a mandi system. These bills create large companies that set up trading markets and fully embrace the value of these Mandy. If Mandis is removed, large companies will lower their purchase prices, and farmers without Mandis will lose control of it. As a result, businesses end up contracting with farmers who don't understand because they don't have the money to hire a lawyer to negotiate terms. These bills should give farmers more choices by interacting directly with businesses, but it only benefits farmers who have the capital to manage their contracts. In essence, these bills will result in the extinction of small marginal farmers, who make up 86% of all Indian farmers. You can't keep doing this ... it just gets worse.

What happens to the protestors? Farmers across India are protesting bills passed since September. After months of unheard of protests, farmers in Punjab and Haryana took a step to march to New Delhi, the capital of India, to hear their voice. But this trip to New Delhi was not peaceful. Protesters, including older men and women, were attacked with batons, water cannons, and tear gas, simply trying to resist and resist these cruel new laws. The press has been charged against many protesters, and the situation is becoming more violent with the tactics of the Indian government. The Indian news channel hides these facts and protects the image of India, but the truth is revealed through different social websites and is the biggest human rights protest in history.

What can you do to help? Raising awareness and protesting the involvement of different governments in different countries and national press on this subject will have a significant impact. This did justice to the Government of India, as if members of governments of other countries, such as Justin Trudeau, chose to speak on this issue, the Government of India would be forced to reconsider these bills. Pressure to invalidate of these bills. A more direct contribution is to donate to NGOs like Khalsa Aid, which are currently at the forefront of New Delhi, which support these protesters by providing basic needs.
